The Argentina Football Federation (AFA) designated July 15 as 'National Teams Day' to commemorate the historic victory of Argentina over England in the World Cup semifinal. The AFA explained that this tribute 'does not limit itself solely to that milestone' of the national team, but 'also extends to all and each of the national teams, which train daily at the Lionel Andrés Messi training complex with the hope, joy, and responsibility of representing Argentina'.
The AFA also mentioned that FIFA opened a disciplinary case against the AFA for the display of a banner by the players at the end of that game in which it was proclaimed that the Falkland Islands belonged to Argentina. Additionally, Argentine players Leandro Paredes and Nahuel Molina and the second coach of the team, Roberto Ayala, are being investigated by FIFA for their participation in the brawl that occurred after the 1-0 defeat against Spain in the World Cup final, on July 19.
The AFA also commemorated the World Cup victory over England with 'National Teams Day' and remembered that the Argentine national team trained daily at the Lionel Andrés Messi training complex with the hope, joy, and responsibility of representing Argentina.
The AFA also mentioned that the Argentine national team has the hope of representing Argentina in the next World Cup and that the AFA is working to ensure that the national team has a good preparation for the next World Cup.
